and well executed too. I'm glad I checked out the game after seeing your message, though quite a bit late. Your style for creativity shines through brilliantly in this latest game, I don't think I've seen or played anything similar before, it's definitely a breathe of fresh air and has a lot of re-playability.
Mastering the controls make this game both incredibly challenging and adds a lot of depth to it, dodging the projectiles and shooting targets can be 2 entirely games in themselves, but you've blended them into one addicting game.
Definitely one of the funnier pieces I've seen here, while most other flashes falls flat the longer the animation drags on, your work felt pretty rich content-wise. The over all humor persisted throughout the entire scene, and you've successfully built quite a bit of suspense over the first customer, engaging the audience and rendering your work that much more interesting to the viewers.
Compared to the plot and humor, your actual animation was left with a lot more to be desired. Nonetheless, I find how you've animated the characters' expressions very well done.
One more note about your submission and I'll shut up. It is obvious that you've spent a deal of time planning out, thinking through the progression of the scene. Everything that appeared in the flash went along very smoothly - much as someone would expect in real life. Most of all, since the majorityof your jokes really centers on timing, I was pleasantly surprised by how you've had everything spot on. Great work. Keep it going.
commendable
"Plot" makes no sense whatsoever, but it's awesome nonetheless. Feels like an amalgamation of a couple of experiences...in a good way, if you will. Like 20+ into an episode of insomniac, endless marathon of DBZ coupled with a bad acid trip.
Nevermind how I've no clue what the hell is going on, the animation is awesome - fluid movements throughout the fight scene. Quite stylish in its own way. In fact, felt like the animation shared some great similarities with other popular cartoons, The music background is decent, but somewhat lacking - was expecting something more grandiose, epic even - which would definitely improve your flash's overall appeal.
I'd usually have suggested more of a storyline, but the pure spontaneity of the whole scene is beautiful in itself, and contributes a lot to the charm of your over all work.
i am actually glad you are telling me to have more story. because the story is right in front of you and you don't know it yet. i chose this story telling technique on purpose. there is an explanation for everything you have seen. the plot is very complex and unique. you'll see.
Was afraid this was gonna be another random madness clone..definitely proved me wrong there! Nice game.
Everything you have already is superb: Decent graphics, easy controls, and the simple game will have players catch on quite quickly. Best of all, the background music you chose was perfect - getting players hyped up and adding more fun to your submission.
However, given the countless existing "Defend the Fort" type games, I was looking forward to some additions & unique add-ons to the game - something you can try and improve on. The same interface gets old after a couple of levels, with no new monsters, or weapon. If you plan on improving the game in the future, add some variety!
Interesting character, fairly decent characters & animation, the movements were quite fluid, giving Cthulhu a much more life-like appearance. The music background when they took was quite sublime - what song did you use? I've heard it before but can't for the life of me remember. Anyway, the conversations were mildly amusing as well.
Other than that, I really liked how the story was progressing. Depicting Cthulthu as your mild mannered average Joe getting on with his life...scarying the crap outta humans. Quite amusing what you have so far. Any chance you could continue the story, even turn it into a series? I see a lot of potential so far and it'd be a shame to cut it so short.
Thanks for the props on Cthulhu himself - I actually put in a good deal of time making the tentacles move independently of each other, and a lot of time getting a good shading on him.
What song were you asking about? The music when Cthulhu emerges was "Pruit Igoe & Prophecies" by the Philip Glass Orchestra. You may have heard it if you saw the film adaptation of Watchmen. The music at the end was the Star Trek theme from the 60's.
You know, a series doesn't sound too bad. I really like what I did making Cthulhu, and it would be a shame not to use such a detailed character again. I'll be sure to keep it in mind, or at least incorporate him into some other works.
Yo that was some impressive work! But why do I have to hook up with only guys..... T.T
One of a kind animation & character design, simple, but charming. Really had me laughing quite a bit. The best part is still your storyline though. Funny choices + popular references + mad reactions from any guy that flips out = absolute hilarity. The background music actually accompanies the scenes well. I actually did not mind losing & dying at all.
All in all the flash's artwork isn't jaw-dropping, but your overall style and sense of humor definitely put this above and beyond similar games. Such an amusing submission, well done!
Did you really complete this flash all by yourself? It has the kind of professional feel only found on network cartoons, drawn by groups of artists! The overall quality is absolutely stunning, from the tiniest details on the characters, backgrounds, to the way you've drawn each motion, everything looks so perfect
You definitely have talent in animation - this was by far one of the best flashes I've seen to date. The next step would be to complement the already prodigious artwork with an equally brilliant storyline, and extend the work into a series ( hero, villian, conflict, end of the world, damsels in distress etc etc the whole shebang) . If you can do that, then you'll truly create a timeless masterpiece!
All in all, everything you've shown so far has a lot of potential - I look forward to any of your future works!!
The amount of effort you've put into the beginning really had me going: was expecting some epic side-scrolling shoot-em-up: and the my tank....tanked.
Quite a creative concept, given their quality, I'm a bit wary of joke submissions usually, but you've executed it so well. Definitely makes me appreciate this April Fools a lot more.
How about adding some more fillers, possibly a looong intro about the conflict, and upcoming battle to be fought? Lot more you can put in to build up the game. If you can get this above 2mb, people will be fooled even more.
One of those rare works that takes all the ingredients to a good game, and combines them seamlessly together. Quite easy controls, basic graphics and sound effects, but the level design is simply super: The unique challenges to each level expand the overall game to something far, far beyond my expectations.
Oh and the background music lends quite well into the overall theme of the game. Coupled with occasional quotes from Wallace and Gromit itself, your quirky flash game becomes so much more fun and interesting. Commendable work, lad!

That was so incredibly retarded
Why not actually provide some useful info, instead of this b.s filler you've scrambled together in 10 min?
waste of time.

I think I've put just about enough effort into this for it to be worth it. A big cutscene would take ages.
Thanks for getting it!
